European Union Baroque Orchestra

European Union Baroque Orchestra

The European Union Baroque Orchestra is unique: EUBO nurtures and supports young baroque music performers through the challenging transition between conservatoire study and the music profession. The activities of EUBO are an integral part of the EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy (EMBA), a Creative Europe co-operation project 2015-2018 co-funded by the European Union. I was picked by Robert Farley (my baroque trumpet teacher at the Royal Academy) to be the principal trumpet of the orchestra for a tour to Luxembourg, Holland and France in 2014. We performed Handel and Purcell and I featured as a soloist for the Birthday Music for Queen Anne, which is a gorgeous piece. This enhanced my early music performing and gave me the confidence to develop my skills as a baroque trumpet player.
