Teaching

I have had over seven years of private teaching and much experience with outreach programmes across London and the South East.

As a student I volunteered to work with various projects across London aimed to help and achieve learning for those without necessary recourses, for example: London Music Masters, the ‘Nucleo Project’, Kids Company and the National Orchestra for All. They all aim to provide opportunities to those who want to learn music but haven’t necessarily have the best chance to. These have opened my eyes to the idea that musical education is extremely valuable and necessary to all.

I endeavour to make sure every lesson is geared towards the needs of each individual student. I am fun, patient and it is important to me to achieve a goal of allowing the student to flourish as a musician as well as finding their own way to play.

“Teaching is probably the noblest profession in the world — the most unselfish, difficult, and honorable profession, but it is also the most unappreciated, underrated, underpaid, and under-praised profession in the world.”

– Leonard Bernstein, “A Tribute to Teachers”, 1963
